We are currently putting up a Christmas Tree that we are asking the public to consider popping a gift voucher or hamper under, that we will distribute to the Mudgee branch of the Benevolent Society.
The reason we are asking for vouchers or hampers is simple-
We have a number of organisation doing Toy Runs etc, and what a lot of these families really need are things that we take for granted, and most of us are lucky enough to have aplenty-
Food, and everyday living items such as toiletries, baby products, such as nappies, food, wipes etc, and even the little luxuries such as Christmas cakes and puddings and goodies for the kids.
These gifts will go to ensure that families throughout the region are able to have a good Christmas.

A Day On The Green is quickly approaching, and I just wanted to take the time to give some tips from a local to help you plan ahead-
1. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat is a must. It can get quite hot out in the open, and if you have an umbrella, that is also a great idea.
2. Disposable ponchos and an umbrella. There is nothing worse than being stuck out in the open when the sky decides to open and bless us with some much needed rain.
3. Comfy shoes and clothes. If the day is warm, it is an idea to pack a lightweight jumper or jacket, just in case.
4. A picnic rug, or fold-up chairs.
5. There are shuttle buses running from a number of spots in town. It really is worthwhile to catch a shuttle bus if possible, as there can be quite a queue of traffic, and you can enjoy your day so much more when you do not have to worry about a designated driver, or where you parked your car.

A TRIBUTE TO YOUNG ANGUS
Some folks they like to drink and smoke
For them it is their treasure
But me I have a different source
From where I get my pleasure

His name is Angus he’s so cool
He’s smart as if he went to school
Yet big and strong as I demand
He’s trained to go at my command

A Rotty my young Angus is
He rules the roost he knows my biz.
He loves his job he is no stooge
He came to us from Baton Rouge.

He’s dark and tan his eyes are black
You don’t want him upon your track
He’ll hunt you down with all his skill
It’s time my friend to write your will

So after this I have to go
To do my job at Cobb and Co
I know my wife she could go potty
But she’s protected by our Rotty
