From the moment you walk into the courtyard at Cobb and Co Boutique Hotel, the sense of history is palpable.
From the cobbled courtyard where the horses were stabled in the days of stagecoaches, with original style staircases leading up to the rooms, to the warm ambiance of the restaurant and the upstairs loft which was used to store fodder once upon a time, we combine modern conveniences while retaining a heritage feel with good old fashioned service.
All of the rooms are furnished in period style with vintage fittings and fixtures, while we ensure the comfort of our guests with the finest quality furniture and linen.
Each room is warm and inviting, and has a Nespresso coffee pod machine, mini bar with a great selection of snacks, and a great selection of Twinings tea for your convenience.
Relax upon the sun splashed deck, or dine on your private balcony in the two bedroom apartment, which has been recently been re-done in impeccable taste by Judy Hall, who owns the hotel with her husband, Ian Newton, to ensure that we maintain the highest standard for our guests.
If you would like to be a little more self-sufficient during your stay, both our one and two bedroom apartments contain a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, which is always handy when staying with the family. We can also provide a breakfast package upon request, containing bread, bacon, eggs, juice and some little basics.
We have also recently completed renovations of our new reception area, which gives our guests a more private and personalised experience.
We also stock some lovely handmade Belgian chocolat, made by Judy Hall.
A woman of many talents, Judy has designed a range of chocolates especially for Cobb and Co Boutique Hotel, and who better to make chocolate than Judy, who if you are familiar with Mudgee, had Oakfield Country Store on Sydney Road up until 2008.
Our location is second to none, with a beautiful landscaped park across the road with a great playground for the little ones, which is accessible for all ages and abilities.
Just a short stroll through our courtyard will bring you out onto Market St, where the best eateries and boutique shops are located.
We are also convenient to Woolworths, BWS and a number of local pubs and clubs, while remaining far enough away that you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.
On a weekend, Mudgee is buzzing with activity, with the Saturday Markets, and also the special events held throughout the year such as Mudgee Small Farm Field Days, The Readers Festival, and of course, The Food & Wine Festival, to mention just a few.
A large number of local wineries are within a 20 minute drive, and we can also assist you in booking tours if required.
We also provide a complimentary airport shuttle upon request (Subject to availability)
